Four Schools In School District 27 Will Have New Principals.

School District 27 announced today (May 26) that four schools will have new principals.
Elaine Colgate will be rejoining the District to take on the position at Mile 108 Elementary.
Colgate served SD27 as Principal of Marie Sharpe, Cataline, and Alexis Creek schools.
Shawn Nelson who has been serving as Vice-Principal at 100 Mile House Elementary since 2016 will be the Principal of Lac La Hache Elementary.
Kimberly Ikebuchi, who’s has been the Learning Support Teacher at Tatla Lake, Anahim Lake, and Alexis Creek Elementary-Junior Secondary schools since 2020, will be the new Principal at Tatla Lake Elementary Junior Secondary.

SANTA ANA (CNS) - An outside law firm hired by the county substantiated sexual harassment claims against a former senior prosecutor, but it cleared Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer of retaliating against one of the whistleblowers, according to a report obtained today by City News Service.
The 162-page report regarding sexual harassment against retired prosecutor Gary LoGalbo, prepared by attorney Elisabeth A. Frater of the Burke, Williams & Sorensen law firm, was completed April 28. The firm was retained by the county counsel s office on Dec. 28.
The investigation was triggered when an Orange County District Attorney s Office employee who was leaving his job made a remark the first week of November about inappropriate behavior by LoGalbo and whether anything would be done about it. LoGalbo was the best man at District Attorney Todd Spitzer s wedding and the two were roommates for a time.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Homicide detectives are investigating after a man who was injured in mid-April died on Saturday.
Gilbert Gallegos, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department, said on Friday detectives were called to investigate the battery of 36-year-old Shawn Nelson. Nelson had been wounded more than a week earlier on April 22 on the 1100 block of Madeira SE.
“The victim’s condition deteriorated over the course of a week, and he died from his wounds over the weekend,” Gallegos said.
He said detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
