Bargain retailer Goodwins, which occupies the former Woolworths store, in Redcar, has repeatedly attracted the ire of Councillor Carl Quartermain, who said its frontage on the Esplanade was an “insult to all who care about Redcar”. A breakthrough has now apparently been made after council officers approached parent company the Yorkshire Trading Company over the matter.
