Uh, Did Julio Jones Know He Was Live on Air When He Said “I’m Out” of Atlanta?
Trade rumors are starting to percolate around Falcons stud receiver Julio Jones. And when an image of Jones wearing a Cowboys shirt surfaced on the internet, it put all sorts of folks on notice. But now, that’s hardly the craziest part of the story.
On Monday’s episode of FS1’s Undisputed featuring Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, Sharpe took to the phone lines to clear the air with Jones by dialing him up WHILE ON THE AIR … and it does not seem likely Jones knew he was on the air until the very end of the “interview.”

Shannon Sharpe just cold called Julio Jones and asked him if he was going to Dallas.

Instead of dancing around with “sources familiar to the situation,” Shannon went straight to Julio like it was no big deal, and straight up asked him if he wants to play for the Cowboys, or stay it Atlanta. The answer will not make Falcons fans happy.

It looks more and more likely that seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones has played in his last game with the Falcons.
Undisputed on Monday, Jones said, I m out of there, when asked by Shannon Sharpe if he wanted to stay in Atlanta next season.
When asked where he would want to play, Jones said, I want to win, and later explicitly ruled out a possible deal to the Cowboys, saying, I ain t going to Dallas, man. I never thought about going to them.

The MMQB s Albert Breer reported that the Falcons were fielding trade offers for Jones. Per Breer, the deal would be part of a larger effort by the Falcons to shed salary and get safely under the cap. Jones is set to make more than $15 million this season.
