A FORMER Marks and Spencers which was turned temporarily into a community arts centre is up for sale and is currently under offer. Cornerstone Arts, which had been renting the former department store in Northgate, Darlington, has moved out of the building, which is currently standing vacant. Savills is selling the site and told the Echo that the building is currently under offer. The former M&S building in Darlington is under offer Louise Maddison, who set up the arts centre, is hoping to move to new premises shortly. And the NQA food bank, which was also based in the building, is reopening on Saturday at Pathfinder House, in Northgate.
