The Elam School of Fine Arts annual graduation show has been cancelled. They changed it with no heads-up whatsoever.” Nelson proposed a “whole raft” of alternatives to the university, including offering to “slash the numbers” of guests, but it wouldn’t budge, she said. The annual grad show is traditionally an opportunity for students to showcase their projects to family, friends, and bigwigs in the art world. “They invite quite a lot of important people to the grad show, and it really is a way to get your career off the ground,” Nelson said.
