The Development Control Plan for 185 Leeds Parade is a supporting document to the recent zoning changes to the site. The Development Control Plan provides guidance around achieving suitable urban design outcomes for the site. These include built form design, signage and landscaping requirements, as well as ensuring that any future development applications consider the amenity and safety of the site design and layout. The NSW Government announced the new, final Flood Prone Land Package in late May, following an earlier public exhibition in 2020, which includes compulsory and opt-in reforms to land use regulations and planning controls. The amendments will support Council’s ability to manage the risk of extreme flooding through improved land planning and development controls, with some of the new controls to commence from today. Savings provisions apply to development applications lodged with Council before today.
