One Freed From Vehicle Under Big Rig In Valencia Crash
One individual was freed from their vehicle after a Newhall Ranch Road crash in Valencia Friday night.
Just after 7:45 p.m., reports were received of a traffic collision with two patients trapped in a vehicle under a big rig, according to Supervisor Choi with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“As of (8:05 p.m.), we have extricated one patient,” Choi said.
Westbound lanes of Newhall Ranch Road were blocked, including the offramp to the 5 Freeway, as the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
No other injuries were reported as of Friday night, according to Choi.
Multi-Car Crash Blocks I-5 Lanes In Valencia
A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles closed several lanes of the southbound I-5 Freeway in Valencia Friday evening.
Just before 4 p.m., reports were received of a traffic collision involving at least five vehicles on the southbound 5 Freeway near McBean Parkway, according to California Highway Patrol Logs.
“Only the number one lane is open,” said Officer Brandt with the CHP Traffic Management Office. “There’s traffic in the area so it’s not clear how many cars are involved or who’s stopped to look, but we have ordered at least three tow trucks.”
Two Hospitalized After Being Trapped In Valencia Crash Near Magic Mountain
Two people were transported to the hospital after reportedly being trapped in their vehicle following a Valencia crash Tuesday morning.
Around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision with persons trapped on The Old Road near Magic Mountain Parkway, said Leslie Lua, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“Two persons were confirmed trapped,” Lua said.
The two patients were transported to a local hospital with severe head trauma, said Officer Josh Greengard, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol Newhall area Office.
As of 10:30 a.m., all four directions of traffic through the intersection were blocked while crews worked to free the two trapped patients, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
Two Hospitalized In Critical Condition After Valencia Crash
Two people have been hospitalized in critical condition after a Valencia crash on The Old Road Monday afternoon, officials said.
The crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Monday on The Old Road south of Rye Canyon Road, according to Jon Matheny, public information officer for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It was initially reported as a traffic collision with advanced life support (ALS), Matheny said.
Upon arrival, firefighters found one victim out of the vehicle, with the second victim taken out of the vehicle by fire personnel, according to the spokesperson.
Overturned Big Rig Leads To I-5 Freeway SigAlert
An overturned big rig led to a SigAlert on the I-5 Freeway near Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia Friday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m. Friday, emergency responders received reports of an overturned big rig on the northbound 5 Freeway near the exit for Newhall Ranch Road, according to Marvin Lim with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a non-injury (crash), so a lot of units have left the scene,” Lim said.
A SigAlert has been activated due to the incident, with the northbound onramp to the 5 Freeway from the eastbound Highway 126 blocked for an unknown duration.
