Police have shot dead a young knife-wielding man on the Logan Motorway, in the fourth police shooting in Queensland’s south-east in as many months.
The man has been identified as 22-year-old Raghe Abdi, from Calamvale.
Emergency services were called to the motorway in Drewvale, on the outskirts of Brisbane’s southside, just after 6am on Thursday.
Police confirmed officers were responding to calls regarding a traffic hazard, as the man walked alongside the motorway.

Police said they were initially called to the scene at 6:00am after reports of a traffic hazard.
They were then confronted by the 22-year-old man, from nearby Calamvale, and threatened with a knife.
