ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. We now know someone who attended last week s St. Louis County Council meeting in Clayton has since tested positive for COVID-19. On Sunday morning, St. Louis Health Director Dr. Fredrick Echols recommends up to 14 days of quarantine for anyone that was at the meeting, even fully vaccinated people.

The Kansas City metro area continues to reopen as more and more of the population gets the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Wednesday the state has 312,591 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and there have been 5,053 deaths since the outbreak started. Overall, the state said 40.5% of the population has been vaccinated with at least one dose.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said Wednesday there have been 508,205 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the outbreak and 8,996 deaths. Overall, the state said 40% of the population has received at least one dose and 33.2% have completed vaccination. ....

O’FALLON, (AP) – After more than a year of severe restrictions aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus in Missouri’s two urban areas, Kansas City, St. Louis and St. Louis County on Friday took major steps to allow businesses, schools and other places to return to some semblance of normal.
Kansas City completely rescinded its emergency order, effective at noon on Friday. Mayor Quinton Lucas said at a news conference that the decision was made “somewhat reluctantly” after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday allowed fully vaccinated Americans to stop wearing masks indoors in most settings. ....
