Lawrence Mooney apologises to Triple M for lockdown breach
Triple M Sydney Breakfast host Lawrence Mooney has admitted he acted like “the King Cock of Cock Island” in breaching the NSW public health order and holidaying in Byron Bay.
This morning, he addressed the controversy on air and said he knows he can’t act like the rules don’t apply to him.
“I’d like to apologise to the Triple M family for acting like King Cock of Cock Island,” he said.
He also apologised to NSW Police for “wasting resources, in having them rock around to my joint to hear my story and then issue a notice”.
Instagram star Ruby Tuesday Matthews has blasted Triple M host Lawrence Mooney for breaching Covid-19 restrictions in NSW.
Lawrence was slapped with a $1000 fine for spending two weeks on holiday in Byron Bay on July 2nd, despite restrictions preventing him from travelling. Wow from the guy who called me a number of horrible names and made me out to be entitled on national radio (even when your end of the story is false), Ruby wrote on Instagram.
