The Los Angeles Thieves pulled off a reverse sweep Saturday to top OpTic Chicago 3-2, handing OpTic their first loss of the Call of Duty League s Stage 5.
Chicago (4-1) easily won the first two maps, taking Moscow Hardpoint 250-72 and Express Search and Destroy 6-1, but Los Angeles claimed Checkmate Control 3-1 and Checkmate Hardpoint 250-196.
The Thieves (3-2) earned a 6-3 victory on Moscow Search and Destroy to complete the comeback. On the decisive fifth map, the United States Zack Drazah Jordan led Los Angeles with an 8-4 kill-death ratio.

OpTic Chicago swept the London Royal Ravens 3-0 on Thursday to solidify its first-place standing in Group A of the Call of Duty League s Stage 5.
In the only other match Thursday in the Seattle Surge s home series as Week 3 began, the New York Subliners edged the Paris Legion 3-2.
The 12 teams are split into two groups of six across three weeks of action to determine seeding for the Stage 5 major, which begins July 29. All group-stage matches and playoff matches are best-of-five except for the Aug. 1 grand final, which will be best-of-nine.
Mutineers, Ultra lead Group B with wins in Stage 5

The first-place Florida Mutineers and Toronto Ultra recorded wins in Group B on Saturday during the second week of Stage 5 action on Saturday in the Call of Duty League.
The Mutineers (3-0, 9-3) defeated the Los Angeles Guerrillas (0-4, 2-12) in four maps, and the Ultra (3-0, 9-1) followed with a sweep of the Seattle Surge (0-3, 1-9).
In the day s only Group A match, the London Royal Ravens (1-2, 4-8) edged the New York Subliners (0-3, 4-9) in five maps.

The Los Angeles Thieves and OpTiC Chicago improved to 2-0 while the Toronto Ultra won their Stage 5 debut Sunday in the Call of Duty League.
The Thieves took down the London Royal Ravens 3-1. They opened with a 250-164 win on Moscow Hardpoint, and after dropping the next map 6-1 on Standoff Search and Destroy, they wrested back control with a 3-0 win on Garrison Control and 250-242 squeaker on Raid Hardpoint.
OpTiC swept the skidding New York Subliners 3-0, winning 250-200 on Moscow Hardpoint, 6-5 on Express Search and Destroy and 3-1 on Raid Control. New York fell to 0-2 in its home series and lost its third in a row overall.
