Post up at This Heights Wine Bar and Steakhouse

Plus, a longtime soul food favorite gets a big gift. By Timothy Malcolm 5/17/2021 at 11:24am A look inside The Post in the Heights. Say hello to The Post Beer & Wine Garden, a new concept announcing itself with a unique wine list and big-ticket, beefy entrées in the former Oriente Bar at 6417 N. Main St. in The Heights. The Post comes from Tashi Garcia—who ran Chapman House Smoked Means, did pop-ups throughout the city, and was a sommelier and wine buyer at Smith & Wollensky s—and his fiancée, Rebecca Rodriguez. The couple is offering mostly old-world wines and craft beer, plus a food menu that includes massive, wet-aged steak dishes like a 40-ounce tomahawk, 20-ounce bone-in ribeye, and New York strip. Garcia prepares each steak over a wood-fire grill, then serves them with sides like brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese in béchamel.
