HOUSTON – Rapper Travis Scott is reviving his Astroworld Festival this November and tickets for the event go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Scott originally kicked off the Astroworld Festival in 2018, more than ten years after the Astroworld theme park closed its doors.
The festival went on for a successful year two in 2019 but didn’t take place in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Benjamin Rosales, who owned some of the original theme parks memorabilia, spoke with KPRC in 2018 and said he sold Scott some of the original Astroworld signs.

Rapper Travis Scott is bringing his AstroWorld festival back to Houston, Texas and adding a day due to overwhelming demand.
The two previous festivals sold out in advance, prompting Scott to make the 2021 event a weekend gig in November (21) at NRG Park. Scott, who will curate the concerts around the creative theme Open Your Eyes To A Whole New Universe , will also headline. The full line-up will be announced in the coming weeks. He launched AstroWorld as a tribute to the amusement park of the same name that was located across the street from the current festival grounds, which Scott attended as a child.
Travis Scott Providing More Scholarships to HBCU Students

Rapper Travis Scott is strengthing his philanthropy arm with more fully paid scholarships for students of HBCUs.
The “SICKO MODE” rapper was one of five recipients announced last week for the first RAD Red Carpet Advocacy impact awards, Yahoo News reports. As part of the accolade, Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation will receive contributions from Amazon in order to fund several scholarships for HBCU students.
His new HBCU scholarships come after he took to Twitter last October to announce that he would be paying the tuition for five HBCU scholars. In addition to his investment into the HBCU community, Scott is pouring into his hometown, Houston, through a new youth education center that will help foster the next generation of creators coming out of the South.
