VOV.VN - The country attended an international workshop on May 18 hosted by the Eurasian Peoples Assembly (APE) along with representatives from over 20 countries, international and regional organisations.

The event was held both in-person and through an online format, with proposals being put forward regarding the building of a more sustainable food security. This is in addition to prepared content of an agenda ahead of the 2021 UN Food System Summit which is scheduled to be held this September.
During her speech Vietnamese Chargé d Affaires to Russia Nguyen Quynh Mai reiterated the urgent necessity of ensuring food security, outlining that food wastefulness may lead to a reduction in food supply and contribute to worsening hunger amid the global spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Vietnam Day at MGIMO returns to Russia

NDO/VNA – “The Vietnam Day at MGIMO” (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) returned to the Russian capital city on April 29 (local time) with a host of events on the eve of the 46th anniversary of the National Reunification Day (April 30).
The festival was hosted by Vietnamese students at the (MGIMO) in partnership with the institute’s ASEAN Centre.
In her opening remarks, Vietnamese Chargé d Affaires to Russia Nguyen Quynh Mai expressed her delight at the development of the Vietnam-Russia relations over recent years. She expected that younger generations of Vietnam and Russia will further nurture the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
St. Petersburg webinar marks 71st anniversary of Vietnam-Russia ties

NDO/VNA – The Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg hosted a webinar on January 29 to mark the 71st anniversary of diplomatic ties between Russia and Vietnam (1950-2021).
The event saw the attendance of Special Representative of St. Petersburg Governor Sergey Katanandov and the vice chairman of the committee, Vyacheslav Kalganov, on the Russian side.
The Vietnamese side included Counsellor Minister at the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia Nguyen Quynh Mai and representatives from the Vietnamese associations in Russia, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations and the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association’s Central Committee.
