Cuban police patrol Havana streets after protests as president urges communist loyalists to ‘fight’ fed-up demonstrators Brian Niemietz
Formidable police patrols continued in Havana on Monday following a day of unrest that saw thousands of fed-up Cuban citizens take to the streets of the capitol and other cities across the island over a lack of food, rising prices and an ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“The order to fight has been given into the street, revolutionaries!” Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said during a televised speech on Monday.
