SOMEONE rang the 999 emergency line.because their husband was talking to their neighbour and they didn’t like it. West Yorkshire Police s Contact Management Centre shared details of the call to highlight the importance of using 999 for emergency calls only. The team often tweets some of the more unusual phone calls they receive from the general public. The force receives 120 inappropriate calls each day, adding one is too many, as part of its #Not999 campaign. And this one was no exception. The force tweeted: You cannot ring 999 because your neighbour talks to your husband and you don t like it. Today we have a large demand due to weather and this is not acceptable. #Not999 WYP Contact Management Centre (@WYP Contact) February 2, 2021
