The Massachusetts Department of Transportation uses a methodology to rank the state’s intersections, weighing crashes that resulted in injuries higher than those that just left property damage. MassDOT’s most recent report, the 2017 Top Crash Locations Report, which was released in September, can be used as a first brush tool to evaluate top crash locations and improve road safety, according to the agency. The report focuses on intersections and is based on crashes entered into the Registry of Motor Vehicles’ Crash Data System.

Thu May 13, 2021 - Southeast Edition #10 Irwin Rapoport – CEG Correspondent Crews from E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. and C.W. Matthews Contracting Company Inc. are making considerable progress to complete the $63 million, Phase 1 of the I-16/I-75 Improvement Project this summer and Phases 2 and 3 this upcoming winter. Since ground was broken in April 2017 on the Georgia Department of Transportation s (GDOT) I-16/I-75 Improvement Project in Macon, crews from E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. and C.W. Matthews Contracting Company Inc. are making considerable progress to complete the $63 million Phase 1 this summer and Phases 2 and 3 this upcoming winter. The goal for this massive project is a final delivery in 2030.

Catalytic Converter Thieves Arrested In Collaborative Law Enforcement Effort Tuesday, May 11, 2021 Travis Wayne Howard Travis Wayne Howard, 42, and Thomas Joshua Barnhill, 35, were arrested Sunday and charged with various crimes, after being caught stealing catalytic converters. Bradley County Sheriff s Office deputies backed up Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers in stopping Barnhill and Howard walking along I-75 near mile marker 27 on Monday. Upon making contact with the two pedestrians, troopers discovered Barnhill and Howard were carrying cutting tools and a recently cut catalytic converter.   Cleveland Police Department officers and BCSO patrol deputies responded to assist the troopers, along with investigators from THP and BCSO. The collaborative investigation discovered that the suspects were coming from a business on Frontage Road where they cut the catalytic converter from a vehicle stored there.
