2020 NAIA Cross Country All-America
NEW ORLEANS – All-America
honors for the 2020 NAIA Cross Country season were announced on Monday by the
U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Athletes from member institutions earned All-America
accolades by finishing among the top-40 athletes in their gender’s respective
races this past Friday at the
2020 NAIA
Cross Country Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Team titles went to
Taylor
(Ind.)’s men and
St. Francis (Ill.)’s
women. Both the Trojans and the Saints earned their program’s first
sport-centric national title.
Taylor (Ind.)’s men snagged five All-America honors thanks
to their efforts over the 8K tract at the Seminole Valley Cross Country Course.

Jacob Hruska in the high jump with his national leading clearance of 2.11m (6-11) and
Richard Dover in the discus (No. 2, 50.15m/164-7). The Tigers’ strength is in the jumps, with three athletes ranked in the top-10 in the high jump (No. 1, No. 5, No. 9) and long jump (No. 4, No. 6, No. 7), while having two ranked in the triple jump (No. 3, No. 8).
Southeastern (Fla.) comes in at No. 2. The Fire gained a new No. 1 performance from
Kyle Manuel in the discus with his heave of 50.33m (165-2), which pairs well with his No. 3 mark in the shot put (17.73m/58-2).
Zachary Nichols improved his season best effort in the hammer throw (No. 5, 56.60m/185-9), while
Josie Puelz in the pole vault (3.95m/12-11½),
Adrianna Shaw in the shot put (14.27m/46-10),
Erin Painter in the discus (48.75m/159-11) and
Elizabeth Stottlemyre in the javelin (45.13m/148-1). Shaw also has a pair of No. 2 rankings in the discus (46.03m/151-0) and hammer throw (54.00m/177-2). What’s even more impressive for the Bulldogs is that they have six of the top-10 nationally ranked marks in the discus.
Southeastern (Fla.) comes in at No. 2 for another week and claimed five top-10 nationally ranked efforts from five different athletes at the Spikes Classic:
