WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona State University is planning to have over 80% of students receive some form of in-person instruction when the fall semester kicks off this year.
Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs Ken Janz told KWNO he thinks the proliferation of the COVID-19 vaccine is the only reason WSU can plan for mostly in-person learning this fall.
“Hopefully we do build that, what they’re looking for, herd immunity as we start heading into July and moving forward via the vaccine,” said Janz. I think [the vaccine] is absolutely critical to us. It’s impacted our planning, no doubt.”
