GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off, the RPF Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB) seized 15 cartons of foreign cigarettes from the Guwahati Railway Station on Sunday (April 11).
The 15 cartons of Korean cigarettes include a total of 1,50,000 cigarettes which is valued at around Rs 7,50,000.
Along with the cigarette consignment, the RPF personnel have arrested a person Krishna Sahu (30) from Chatribari.
He was spotted by the personnel during a surprise check of parcel packages at Parcel Gate No. 02 of Guwahati Railway Station.
