The Family Man s second season had been announced for its world premiere on June 4 by Amazon Prime. However, the series is mired in a huge controversy, especially with the depiction of Tamils and Sri Lankan people after the trailer released last week led to many leading political parties in Tamil Nadu raising objections over the content. After Naam Tamilar Katchi s (NTK) Seeman and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam s (MDMK) Vaiko issued stern warnings to the creators of the show to face consequences if it is to be aired, the Tamil Nadu government on late Monday evening wrote a letter to the Union Government requesting to stop the release of the series.

Oxygen manufacturing units will be established at Government Hospitals in Kuzhithurai and Thuckalay to meet the demand for the life-saving gas, Minister for Information Technology T. Mano Thangaraj has said.
In a statement, he said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had announced that the treatment for COVID-19 would be included in the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme in a bid to save the poor undergoing treatment in private hospitals. Similarly, oxygen production had to be increased to meet the demand. “I have spoken with the Health Secretary to increase the quota of Remdesivir and COVID-19 vaccines to Kanniyakumari district,” Mr. Mano Thangaraj said.
Along with him, 33 Cabinet colleagues were also sworn in by Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
