High-profile families flout the norms
An event related to wedding revelries of high-profile families created a flutter on social media after videos surfaced, which purportedly showed police engaged in security arrangements.
A politician Amjed Ullah Khan from Majlis Bachao Tahreek was one of the first to tweet video clips of the event, and claimed it took place on Monday night in the Chandulal Baradari neighbourhood, which comes under the Kamatipura Police Station limits. He said several persons of note attended the wedding and also wondered whether action will be take in this case.

HYDERABAD: Residents across the Old City experienced intermittent power cuts during the first Taraweeh and Saheri (pre-dawn meal) timings on Tuesday night as also during the early hours of Wednesday.
The outages, in some localities, lasted a couple of hours.
With spells of heavy rain and gusty winds resulting in repeated disruptions of power supply, people in several localities like Chanchalguda, Hafiz Baba Nagar-A Block, Bandlaguda, Mehdipatnam, Nampally, and Red Hills had a hard time at night.

Victim was raped, alleges mom
A nurse who went to Sharjah in search of better livelihood has been confined against her will and assaulted, Majlis Bachao Tahreek leader Amjed Ullah Khan, who has been working to bring Indian citizens stranded in West Asian countries said.
Mr Khan said that he is helping the vitcim’s family who have written to Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar. The victim, who is a resident of Bandlaguda, was allegedly promised a salary equivalent to ₹40,000 per month in Sharjah by a broker identified as Fatima.

Hyderabad: A Hyderabad man living in Chicago nearly escaped death after bullets were fired at him. Returning home from his work Syed Siraj Mehdi (30) was unhurt in the incident. His family lives in Chanchalguda, Hyderabad and the man lives in Devon, Chicago for his job.
The incident took place on December 4. The information about it only came to light on Friday (18
th Dec). The miscreants fired four shots at Syed’s car that hit the back seat. Luckily he escaped and fled the spot without any injuries.
