US 6 over SR 331 is expected to remain closed for the next few months. Center Street (Elm Road) from US 6 towards the railroad tracks is closed to all traffic as well. Manhunt Ends After 16-Day Search For Murder Suspect

On January 25th, 2021, Haralson County Sheriff’s Office and Bremen Police Department investigators were continuing to pursue possible leads in the on-going manhunt for murder suspect Christian Taylor Davis. One of many tips had been received by Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams, indicating a possible address where Davis was intentionally being concealed from law enforcement by the residents. At approximately 11:00 am, investigators arrived at the residence, which is located within the Felton community of Haralson County. As investigators made contact with one of the occupants at the front door, murder suspect Davis attempted to flee out of a secondary exit of the residence. Davis was quickly apprehended by law enforcement without further incident. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and upon execution of the warrant, several firearms and a quantity of suspected methamphetamines were located within. Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office offers new program S.P.O.T. to help those with special needs WAPAKONETA The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office will be offering a new program free to the resident of Auglaize County called S.P.O.T. (Special Population Operations Team). The goal of our new program is to increase the effectiveness of communication and interaction with residents of all ages that may have special considerations in case of an emergency. Such considerations may include: Alzheimer’s, dementia, schizophrenia, PTSD, autism, ADHD, developmental disability, down syndrome, blindness, deafness, language barriers or differently-abled.
