In 1972, Canada recruited 20 women to participate in Project Venus, a radical experiment funded by the Canadian government. These women were kept in a Toronto hospital for 98 days, with no contact with their friends, families, or the outside world. 10 women were part of the control group, while the other 10 were given cannabis doses (joints) every evening. All the women were tasked creating macramé crafts, designed to measure their productivity under the influence. They were also medically tested and analyzed via round the clock observers.

Pure Hydrogen wraps up 1st well at Project Venus
Australia’s Pure Hydrogen has started to complete the first Walloon coalbed methane (CBM) pilot well at Project Venus in Queensland’s Surat basin, it said on April 15.
The well will be set up for a controlled three-month draw-down test. Some 694 PJ of prospective gas resource has been certified for the Venus CBM project and an upgrade of this resource is expected this quarter, the company said.
“The results of this initial flow test programme will be used to design an expanded pilot, plan potential future field development and estimate water handling requirements,” it added.

Sydney-based Pure Hydrogen bills itself as an Australian east coast-focused clean energy company although it also has a CSG project in Botswana, Africa.
The first of the initial six wells in the Botswana appraisal campaign where Pure Hydrogen is fully carried by operator Botsgas is expected to be spudded late this quarter.
Results of this initial flow test programme will be used to design an expanded pilot, plan potential future field development and estimate water handling requirements.
The six-well appraisal campaign includes step-outs ranging from four to tees of kilometres. It is designed to upgrade the 2.38 trillion cubic feet of interpreted high-grade CSG (high saturated bright Serowe coals) prospective gas resources certified to date.
