NEW YORK (AP) Officers in the Bronx came upon the scene of a fatal shooting Saturday night and arrested two gunmen, police said. One male was fatally shot and an innocent bystander was injured, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. near 165th St. and Findlay Ave. in the Concourse Village neighborhood.
Three officers responding to gunshots witnessed the two suspects shoot a male victim multiple times before fleeing down the street as officers fired their weapons, police said at a news conference. The suspects, one of whom was shot, were captured nearby by other responding officers.

They say a 24-year-old woman was shot in the back and taken to Harlem Hospital in critical condition.
The shooting started just after midnight on Elton Avenue in the Melrose section.
Police say they initially observed two men spray painting graffiti and made a stop at 153rd and Third Avenue.
The men then got in the car and tried to flee when officers pulled them over and they took off on foot, authorities said.
Officers gave chase and caught up with one of the men when there was a struggle and they say the man pulled a semi-automatic hand gun on the officers and began firing. After a brief foot chase, one officer was able to grab one of the subjects. As the officer struggled with the man in an attempt to arrest him, the subject pulled out a semiautomatic handgun and fired at least three rounds at the officers, said NYPD Chief Terry Monahan.
The officer was injured, the driver was later taken into custody.
The officer pulled over the driver of a Dodge Charger, going east on East 167th Street at Walton Avenue, for a traffic violation at around 6:30 p.m.

As the officer conducted the stop, the driver sped off. The officer s hand was caught on the driver s side window as the vehicle fled.
The officer fired multiple shots at the vehicle, which was struck by the gunfire.
It happened Tuesday night at East Mount Eden and Jerome avenues.
Police say a 45-year-old man walked up to two men and opened fire.
33-year-old Donte Thomas, of Grand Concourse in the Bronx, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the hospital.
A 35-year-old man was critically wounded.
Police say the 45-year-old gunman was also shot in the head during the altercation.
He is in critical condition.
