The ASEAN-United Kingdom (UK) Open-Ended Troika Meeting was held on 8 April 2021 via videoconference to discuss the critical situation on the COVID-19 pandemic, initiatives to build a resilient and sustainable economic recovery, and efforts to address the adverse impact of climate change.

Jakarta â The 11th meeting of the ASEAN-Australia Joint Cooperation Committee was held in the form of a videoconference on April 8, to review the bilateral cooperation in the previous year and discuss orientations in the coming time.
Ambassador Nguyen Hai Bang, head of Vietnamâs Permanent Mission to ASEAN, in his capacity as chair of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Task Force, spoke highly of Australiaâs aid worth 2.8 million USD for the implementation of the IAI Work Plan III (2016-2020).
He requested Australia to further assist ASEAN in carrying out the IAI Work Plan IV (2021-2025) which was adopted during the 37th ASEAN Summit held in late 2020.

ASEAN, Australia commit to enhance cooperation despite COVID-19 pandemic
JAKARTA, 8 April 2021 - ASEAN and Australia reaffirmed their commitment to enhance cooperation under ASEAN-Australia strategic partnership during the 11
th ASEAN-Australia Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting held virtually today.
Both sides reviewed the implementation of the ASEAN-Australia Plan of Action (2020-2024) and noted the progress that has been made in the first year of implementation of the Plan of Action despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
