PUTA seeks early payment of full salaries to employees Peshawar February 11, 2021 PESHAWAR: Demanding early payment of salaries to the employees, Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) on Wednesday asked the university administration under which law full salary was not being paid for the month of January. PUTA president Dr Fazle Nasir said that the association had already sent a letter to the university administration and was waiting for the response. “We want to give enough time to the university administration before announcing a future line of action. We are concerned about the precious time of the students who have already suffered due to the long closure of the university,” he said.

The institutions for grade nine to 12 have already opened for academic activities on January 18. National January 24, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Saturday moved an adjournment motion to hold a debate in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to address the concerns of employees of the University of Peshawar (UoP) over the payment of the half salary for the month of January due to financial crisis. Inayatullah Khan, the parliamentary leader of JI in the provincial assembly, submitted the adjournment motion to the assembly secretariat to discuss the salary issue of the university employees. A notification issued by the office of UoP registrar said that due to financial constraints the university was not able to disburse full salary to its employees for the month of January and only basic and personal pay would be given to them.
