Council Bluffs man held without bond for woman s death

By Julia Bertino May 31, 2021 (Bellevue, NE) A Council Bluffs man is being held in the Sarpy County Jail without bond, accused of shooting a woman to death over the weekend. The Bellevue Police Department says just before 10:30 Sunday night, officers were called to a shooting in the area of the 6900 block of South 27th Street. Once on the scene, officers found 21 year old Madyson Dennis, of Omaha, suffering from a gunshot wound. Dennis was pronounced deceased at the scene by Bellevue Fire Department personnel. Investigators identified the suspect as 25 year old, Nicholas Holliday of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Holliday was not on scene when officers arrived, but he was later located in the area of 27th and X Street in Omaha and was arrested. Holliday was booked into the Sarpy County Jail for Manslaughter, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
