Blotter: Sexual assault, stalking, DUI charges in Danbury

The following are arrests the Danbury Police Department reported to have made last week:
Jan. 3
A 46-year-old man from Waterbury was charged with second-degree abuse of persons, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and interfering with an officer.
A 33-year-old Myrtle Avenue man was charged with first-degree stalking, violation of a protective order and breach of peace.
A 53-year-old Bergh Street man was charged with traveling unreasonably fast, driving under the influence and failure to drive upon right.
A 34-year-old Mountain Road man was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
A 43-year-old Dean Street woman was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
A teenager was killed Sunday in a drug deal gone awry inside a gated community in Pembroke Pines, and police charged the man they say shot him Monday. Police arrested 23-year-old Daniel Estevan Baquero after the shooting and charged him with first degree murder.

A Norwich pub is gathering tremendous donations of potatoes from Norfolk farmers in a bid to feed vulnerable people during the lockdown.
The Garden House, on Pembroke Road, was awarded the British Institute of Innkeeping s Heart of the Community Award last month in recognition of its charitable work to provide meal pouches and winter warmth flasks to the homeless during the second lockdown in November.

Willie McClendon suffers from Alzheimer s disease and was last seen leaving the area of 28th Avenue and Pembroke Road on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 7 p.m.
