CUMMING, GA Building off its successful track record of hosting fun memories and raising funds for local nonprofits, Halcyon s Ladies Night Out event returns for spring from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 13.
Designed to bring Forsyth County women together for a special night of activities while giving back to a good cause, this month s event is benefitting FOCO4Frontliners, a 501(c)(3) organization led by the Forsyth Chamber of Commerce to show appreciation to local frontline healthcare workers for their role fighting the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The woman who has led a hospice charity for the past 16 years is retiring to spend more time with her family.
Over the coming months, Dr Barbara Gale MBE, chief executive of west Suffolk-based St Nicholas Hospice Care, will work alongside colleagues and the hospice’s Board of Trustees to recruit and hand over to a new CEO.

A statement on the charity s website said: Under Barbara’s leadership, the hospice has been recognised for many significant achievements, including national awards for its innovative clinical work.

As we all schedule our second vaccine appointments and get one step closer to cozying up to the bar at our favorite Licking County watering hole, the fine folks at Explore Licking County knew that the long COVID hiatus has found the Brew Crew craving adventure. Lucky for us the 2021 Beverage Trail has recently kicked off.
For the uninitiated, the Beverage Trail consists of 26 of Licking County’s finest beverage purveyors, including breweries, wineries, coffee and soda shops. You can pick up an official guidebook at any participating location or download a map at explorelc.org/bevtrail. Visit 10 different spots and collect their stamps to get a sweet prize from Explore Licking County. Really, the thrill of the chase is the real fun, but the first five people to collect all 26 stamps get an exclusive Trophy Goblet crafted by the talented glass blowers at The Works!
