NEW DELHI: After the BJP and the CPM, the Congress also condemned the post-poll violence in West Bengal by the TMC cadres, saying such incidents were unacceptable and people of the state have not voted for lawlessness.
Congress s West Bengal incharge Jitin Prasada alleged on Tuesday that his party cadres were attacked by Trinamool Congress workers and even women and children were not spared. The post-poll violence that has been unleashed by the TMC on the Congress workers is unacceptable. Even women and children are not spared. I m sure the people of West Bengal did not vote for this lawlessness, Prasad said on Twitter.

It’s poll season in West Bengal, and according to some political experts, this is the most polarised election the state has witnessed so far. Meanwhile, a disturbing image of an injured man with a bandaged head and blood dripping through his face is circulating on social media with the claim that it reflects the atrocities on Hindus in Bengal.
He assured that the beneficiaries will be given the money with arrears once the BJP comes to power. Singh said once a BJP government is formed, no one will be able to extort money from people or indulge in violence.
An argument over a dispute broke out between the two groups and later turned into a clash.

BARASAT: A 16-year-old boy has been allegedly beaten to death during a clash between two groups in West Bengal s North 24 Parganas district, police said on Wednesday.
Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident that took place in Khudiram Pally in Duttapukur police station area late on Tuesday, a senior police officer said.
An argument over a dispute broke out between the two groups and later turned into a clash, he said.
The injured person was taken to a state-run hospital in Barasat, where doctors declared him dead, the officer said.

Kolkata: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker in West Bengal has alleged that workers of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) attacked his mother in North 24 Paraganas on Saturday, in what appears to be another case of political violence in the poll-bound state.
BJP worker Gopal Majumdar said that three TMC workers entered his house and attacked his mother in Nimta, North Dumdum on February 27.
