âThis is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in itâ (Psalm 118:24).
I was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi to the late deacon Oddie and Lola Robinson. My parents and I migrated to Flint, Michigan, âThe Vehicle Cityâ, in the 1950âs in search of better opportunities. My three siblings were all born in Flint. My dad was a supervisor at General Motors and my mother was a Nurse.
I relocated to Kalamazoo after being recruited as a police officer by the City of Kalamazoo. I retired from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety after 25 years of service. I have a degree in Law Enforcement from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and a Bachelor degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University.
