Surprise superhero gem “Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse” is gearing up for it’s anticipated continuation – and today, we’ve word on who’ll be jockeying the stud.
Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson are all directing. The original co-director Phil Ramsey is executive producing alongside Aditya Sood. The producer’s booth will again be occupied by several heavyweights, including OG producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller – thus ensuring quality control is all up in this thing.
The new film was written by Lord, Miller and “Expendables” writer Dave Callaham.
In a joint statement acquired by Variety, the creatives say : “The crew behind the ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ set such a ridiculously high bar, and we’re humbled to take on the challenge of charting the next chapter in the story of Miles Morales.”
After being moved online in 2016, purportedly to save money, it seems that BBC Three is set to return to UK TV screens. This news, announced on March 2, came as a surprise to many. In a night full of first-time honorees, Beijing-born Chloé Zhao became the first woman of color named Best Director at the Golden Globe Awards. And Zhao wasn t alone many of the new winners at the U.S. awards season s opener were also artists of color, even as the Globes parent organization, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and other Hollywood institutions face harsh criticism over a lack of diversity.
Zhao, a first-time Globe nominee, is just the second woman to win Best Director at the award show, 37 years after Barbra Streisand for 1983 s Yentl. In another first for the category, she was one of three female nominees, beating Regina King for One Night in Miami and Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman. She also took home Best Drama Movie for her film, Nomadland.
