Former Pakistani all-rounder skipper Shoaib Malik took lead in welcoming the cricketers chosen to play in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
The first edition of the KPL is all set to take place from August 6 in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, said the KPL official website.
Taking to microblogging website, Shoaib Malik, who is also performing in the KPL as a skipper of a team, expressed his good wishes for all other teams. He also hoped for an excitement-filled event in August. Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is sending his best wishes to the teams participating in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
According to KPL’s official website, the league’s first edition, of which Malik is also a part as a captain of one of the teams, will be kicked off from August 6 in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has been appointed the President of Muzaffarabad Tigers in the inaugural edition of Kashmir Premier League (KPL),
“I feel honoured to be selected as the president of the team,” Afridi said in the launch ceremony of Muzaffarabad Tigers on Wednesday. “I have been brand ambassador of many leagues in the world, but the happiness of being part of Kashmir Premier League is unmatched.”
The single league tournament was officially launched in December last year and will be played from April 1 to April 10 in Mirpur and Muzaffarabad with Rawalpindi placed as a reserved venue.
