The Colorado Avalanche took a 2-0 series lead with their 6-3 win over the Blues in Game 2 of their best-of-7 opening round Stanley Cup Playoff Series, Wednesday night at Ball Arena. The Blues made things interesting in the 3rd period, as a Power Play Goal from
Brayden Schenn cut Colorado s lead to 1 with 9:34 left. 4 minutes later
Nathan MacKinnon put the Avs up 4-2, but just 46 seconds later, the Blues answered with a
Mike Hoffman goal. The Blues emptied the net at 2:18, but Colorado won the face-off,
Penguins vs. Flyers 12:38 am
The Flyers and Pens met up in Philly on Monday. In the 1st Period with the Flyers up 1-0, Shayne Gostisbehere gets a Power Play Goal, his 9th. It’s 2-0 Flyers. A wrap around pass deflects out to Claude Giroux who puts it in the net for his 15th. It’s 3-0 Flyers.
In the 2nd Period, a nice long pass to Gostisbehere to Wade Allison for a Goal making it 4-0. The Penguins would score a couple goals in the 3rd Period, but would not be able to come back. The Flyers takes this game with a final score of 7-2.
