A supplier of medical diagnostic products and services, ISN Products Nigeria Limited, has supported the University of Lagos Medical Centre with laboratory reagents and consumables.
The Managing Director of the firm, Mr. Felix Ofungwu, in a statement, said the donation was in fulfilment of its promise to reward the institution that produces the overall winner of the ISN Medical Laboratory Scientist of the Year Award.
The General Manager, Diabetes Care of the firm, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Chioke, was quoted to have represented Ofungwu at the presentation of the reagents and consumables.
He said the donation was a demonstration of the firm’s commitment to encourage and motivate medical laboratory practitioners in the discharge of their duties as well as build the much-needed capacity for the effective delivery of quality health care to Nigerians.

ABIOLA Fashina, a medical laboratory scientist and staff at the University of Lagos Medical Centre, has emerged winner of the maiden edition of the ISN Medical Laboratory Scientist of the Year Award.
Speaking at the award presentation event, in Lagos, recently, the Executive Director of ISN Products Nigeria Limited, organisers of the award, Mr. Felix Ofungwu, explained that the award was part of the company’s efforts in promoting and rewarding excellence among medical laboratory scientists for their active role in the health sector.
According to Ofungwu, the place of medical laboratory scientists in the health care sector could not have been more significant given their contribution to saving lives amidst the rampaging effect of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
