Cabarrus County Government buildings to close for Easter   PRESS RELEASE CONCORD, N.C. – Cabarrus County Government offices will close Friday, April 2, in observance of Good Friday. This includes the Cabarrus County Government Center, Human Services Center, Cabarrus County Construction and Demolition Landfill, Cabarrus County Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center, Veterans Services Office, Board of Elections Office and all libraries and senior centers. The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners Work Session will take place on Tuesday, April 6, at 4 p.m. The public can watch live at cabarruscounty.us/cabcotv, youtube.com/cabarruscounty or on CabCoTV, Spectrum Cable Channel 22. All Cabarrus County parks will follow their normal operating schedule on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Supervisor s approve contract with Minn firm for data collection software | News, Sports, Jobs

manich@leaderherald.com JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Board of Supervisors recently approved a contract with a Minnesota firm for a data collection software program that will promote Occupancy Tax compliance in the county Treasurer’s Office. The board authorized a $14,700 contract with Granicus which runs through Feb. 28, 2022. The board in 2017 adopted a local law establishing an Occupancy Tax in Fulton County. The Treasurer’s Office is tasked with collecting tax payments, which include small establishments and/or individual owners that use an online reservation system. Treasurer Terry Blodgett was notified by Granicus that its software collects short-term rental information. In other business, the board voted to approve a $34,490 contract amendment with Tyler Technologies of Troy, Mich. for site licensing as a component of the county Sheriff’s Department’s CAD/RMS System.
