Pfizer vaccines for Pasay LGU now in Taguig storage

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said on Thursday, May 13, the 1,170 Pfizer vaccines allotted to the city government have been placed at the ORCA Cold Chain Solution located in Bagumbayan, Taguig City. Rubiano said the city government will start the Pfizer vaccines roll out on Friday, May 14.

Pasay City LGU hails decline in admission of COVID patients in isolation facilities

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano (Facebook / Pasay PIO / MANILA BULLETIN) Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said two of the city’s isolation facilities Burgos Elementary School and Pasay City Sports Complex have recorded zero admission and have 100 percent vacancy. Rubiano said the two other facilities Folk Arts Theater recorded four admissions but still has 43 beds available. The city’s biggest isolation facility, the Mall of Asia, which has a 132-bed capacity only recorded five new admissions. Rubiano said based on records, Pasay City has already achieved its goal of leading Metro Manila cities with the lowest number of COVID-19 cases. The mayor added the city is now recording more recoveries from the virus at 95.96 percent.

Pasay City records lowest COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila

Rubiano, in a Facebook post, announced that the city recorded less than 300 active cases of COVID-19. She said the implementation of the localized lockdown and the city government’s prevent-detect-isolate-treat and reintegrate (PDITR) were effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Rubiano appealed to residents for their continued cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 by staying home and by observing the minimum health protocols. She said that as of April 29, the City Health Office recorded only 290 active cases with 41 new cases. She added that bed vacancies at the city’s four quarantine facilities are increasing which is proof that the virus spread in the city is being contained.
