DEEP RIVER Renovation projects for Deep River Elementary School’s roof and interior renovations to the Brainerd Memorial Library in Haddam received $807,000 in state funding on Friday.
The Deep River project will be paid with a $132,000 grant from the Department of Administrative Services while the Haddam project will receive $675,000 through the State Library’s Grant-In-Aid for construction, renovations, expansions, energy conservation and handicapped accessibility, according to state Rep. Christine Palm, D-36, and state Sen. Norm Needleman, D-33.
