State Sen. Brian Kavanagh, D-Brooklyn/Manhattan, and Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz, D-Brooklyn, filed S6999A/A7805 last week in Albany. If passed, the measure would create the New York City Public Housing Preservation Trust. The trust would serve as a vehicle for the New York Public Housing Authority to seek federal tenant protection voucher subsidies, which offer more funding than traditional public housing subsidies.
