Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) is announcing the launch of OpenBook, an online financial transparency tool for citizens to see how government is spending taxpayer dollars. The web-based, interactive tool gives citizens the opportunity to examine individual departmental budgets and expenses as well as view data and graphs.
Mayor-President Josh Guillory believes citizens should know how government is managing their money and adds that OpenBook will show taxpayers exactly what’s going on in City and Parish government. “With this new tool, we’ll have much greater transparency in City and Parish finances.
