That matchup between the Buffs and Trojans was canceled, however, due to COVID-19 issues with USC. The Buffs finished with a 4-1 regular season record and had the opportunity to compete against Texas in the Alamo Bowl, where they were ultimately defeated by a strong Longhorns team. Written by Mac Morey on January 7, 2021 On Wednesday, January 6th, park rangers responded to an emergency request that ended up being a cross country skier that was lying on the snow covered forest. It was a group of cross country skiers when suddenly Gary Sternberg, 69, collapsed onto the ground. Two members of the group attempted to initiate CPR to save him while the other got the rangers headed to the scene. Once rangers arrived, almost an hour passed until it was determined that resuscitation was no longer a viable option. It was on the trip back that Sternberg ended up collapsing to what is still an unknown medical cause.
