An estate dubbed the Plastic City is plagued with addicts and drug dealers who aren t hiding in alleyways, with locals saying it s been left to ruin and looks like a s hole.

The estate has a lot of nicknames.
A stone s throw from the Bury s bustling town centre, it s earned the labels Legoland, and Plastic City, thanks to its prefabricated blocks
Sunken in a pit of land, secluded by the high walls that surround it, the neighbourhood is actually called Townside Fields.
It s a fact known mainly to older residents, who remember the neighbourhood in the 1970s.
Brakpan Herald A portion of the roadside has collapsed into a cavernous hole and the surface of the road is punctured with numerous cavities. This photo captured by a drone shows the destruction caused by illegal mining along Main Reef Road.
This stretch of road has been closed since November following the development of another sinkhole.
Illegal miners have taken advantage of its closure and the road and surrounding area are being excavated at an alarming pace.
The image captures at least a dozen men on site and their activities are becoming more brazen.
No attempt has been made to hide the operation as all sorts of equipment lies exposed for anyone to see.
Municipal employee caught on camera âstealingâ state property

Johannesburg - An Ekurhuleni City employee was allegedly caught on camera stealing state property while on duty.
The CCTV camera alleged showed the 26-year-old man and an accomplice stealing two trailer rims with tyres and tyres valued at R12 000 from the company vehicle.
The items were recovered and the man arrested. His accomplice, however, fled and is still at large.
According to Kobeli Mokheseng of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police, the man and a colleague were busy cutting grass when the incident happened at the Cityâs Parks Department in Vosloorus.
