Odisha CM launches Bindu Sagar Cleaning Project in presence of Dharmendra Pradhan ANI | Updated: Jan 09, 2021 19:48 IST Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], January 9 (ANI): Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Bindu Sagar Cleaning Project in presence of Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan in Old Town Bhubaneswar on Saturday. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) will spend Rs 70 lakh for the revival and cleaning of the lake, through the CSR Fund which is one of the natural heritage sites in the State Capital. Indian Oil Corporation, Institute of Chemical Technology, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Odisha Bridge Construction Company will jointly carry out the Project.

Praj, ICT join hands for developing new solutions for process industry

Industrial biotechnology company Praj Industries (Praj)on Thursday said it has entered into an agreement with the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) to jointly promote higher education and research in the areas of process development and development of novel reactor designs for biochemical and catalytic processes. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) comes into effect immediately and will be valid for the next 10 years, that is up to December 31, 2030, Praj said in a statement. Through this collaboration, Praj and ICT will be jointly undertaking research in process development and development of innovative reactor designs for biochemical and catalytic processes. Various high potential technology development projects will be jointly undertaken that would be governed by separate project specific MoUs, the statement said.

Eye on hostels for SC students, government asks institutes for survey | India News

MUMBAI: After quotas in admissions, there is a move to introduce quotas for living on campus too. The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, under a financial assistance scheme, has proposed to carry out new construction and upkeep of hostels for Scheduled Caste students. The ministry has directed all the engineering colleges in India, the ones that figure in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) rating, to carry out a “comprehensive” need assessment/demand survey, to calculate the number of hostels that would be required for SC candidates. Details have been sought on the number of operational hostels for SC candidates, the count of such students on their college rolls, and the gap in the availability of hostels for SC candidates, apart from land for constructing exclusive hostels for SC students.
