The Legislature’s $6.3 billion capital budget passed last month includes funding for dozens of Kitsap County projects including school modernization, affordable housing, a community center and money to purchase and preserve land in North Kitsap.
The 2021-2023 capital budget, which funds new and ongoing construction projects across the state, includes $1.8 billion in new appropriations.
The entire property has been valued at about $6.6 million, according to Kitsap County Commissioner Rob Gelder. Capital budget funds will help to purchase the property, which will be split between residential development, affordable housing, public services and open space, Gelder said.
