UXO.â The track is off the bandâs new full-length album
Kill Grid out today via Century Media Records.
âThis song is lyrically self-explanatory,â says singer Knox Colby about âUXO.â âItâs about the cluster bombing of Laos during the Vietnam War. The main focus of the lyrics are about the cultural impact that the unexploded ordnance (abbreviated UXO) has had over the last 50 years. Over 20,000 people have died accidentally from stepping on these bombs that are the size of a softball and scattered over the entire country, which is predominantly covered in dense jungle (last I checked, 35% of the country is still contaminated with UXO). Itâs an issue the United States has only recently owned up to, but the government wonât apologize for; itâs shameful.â Guitarist Will Wagstaff on the music: â When this song was written I was listening to 2 specific songs on repeat. âDyingâ

CROSSOVER THRASH: These riffs are so addicting! Richmond, Virginia crossover thrash metal band Enforced has released its second full-length album
Kill Grid. The brutal quintet featuring bassist Ethan Gensurowsky, drummer Alex Bishop, vocalist Knox Colby, and guitarists Will Wagstaff and Zach Monahan has created nine pummeling thrash attacks that explode like a heatseeking missile upon imminent impact. With an extreme amalgam of thrash, punk, death metal, and hardcore, Enforced walks a similar path as Power Trip, Plague Years, Iron Age, and the like.
Formed in 2016 out of the ashes of various hardcore and punk bands, Enforced rapidly became a live fixture within the Richmond local scene by sharing stages with the likes of Sacred Reich, Red Death, and fellow brethren Iron Reagan. Catching the attention of Century Media with its 2019 debut album

The first single is the raw, ruthless attack of Hemorrhage, which vocalist Knox Colby had this to say about: The first half is about the death of innocence, or the death of an innocent person, due to the surge of distrust, outrage, and skepticism of a society. While people arrogantly and pompously saber rattle over trivial things, real people are getting hurt and caught in the crossfire.
