CAROLINE, N.Y. (WHCU) – Saturday, the Caroline History Club is holding a special meeting over Zoom to let the community learn more about the town’s History Room.
Caroline’s Town Historian for the last 35 years Babara Kone will be presenting on the many valuable collections at Town Hall. The History Room is maintained by Kone and Deputy Historian Jennifer Johnson.

Healthcare Insurance Enrollment/Policy Expert Promoted to COO at Regional Hospital Associations
Stacy Villagran, a resident of West Babylon, NY, was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer for the Suburban Hospital Alliance of New York State and its regional hospital associations the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council (NSHC) and the Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association (NorMet). NSHC represents hospitals on Long Island and NorMet represents hospitals in the Hudson Valley.
Villagran most recently served as the Senior Director of Health Insurance Programs for the agency. Since 2000, Villagran has greatly expanded the organization’s health insurance enrollment assistance programs that now include a New York State Department of Health-sponsored grant program that provides enrollment assistance in Medicaid programs for the aged, blind, and disabled populations, a Medicare Telephone Assistors Program, and a Community Health Advocates program that assists individuals in
