Wrexham pupils and staff step out for Unbeatable Eva Foundation

Pupils and staff from Gorwelion Newydd (formerly Wrexham Pupil Referral Services - PRU) have stepped out to raise funds and awareness for a good cause. The group held a 5km sponsored walk at Alyn Waters on Friday, July 9, in aid of the Unbeatable Eva Foundation. The foundation was set up in memory of Eva Grace Williams, who passed away on January 8, 2020. Ten-year-old Eva had been diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of cancer, Diffuse Instrinic Pontine Giloma ( DIPG ). Tony O Dea, assistant headteacher at the PRU said: The event was a great success. We hope the money raised can help towards funding research programs to counter this terrible diagnosis.
