Two Williamsburg people suspected of being wanted fugitives from Tennessee were located at a north Corbin motel with heroin in their possession Tuesday night.
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeremy Fore, 29, and Vivian Fore, 29, both of Williamsburg, at the motel off of West Cumberland Gap Parkway.
Deputy Gilbert Acciardo said K-9 Deputy Jake Miller along with Lt. Chris Edwards and deputies Jamie Etherton and Keith Dinsmore acted on information they developed, locating the duo at the motel.
Upon checking the duo’s identities, deputies learned that they were both wanted out of Cumberland County, Tennessee.
“In addition, the two individuals were found in possession of suspected heroin,” Acciardo stated.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says K-9 Deputy Jake Miller along with Lieut. Chris Edwards and Deputy Hunter Disney were called out to Mullins Road where a man was reportedly under a Jeep belonging to someone else attempting to cut the catalytic converter off. The homeowner caught the man, later identified as 42-year old Swade Smith of Corbin, and held him there until deputies arrived. Deputies learned that allegedly Smith rode a scooter to the property. Smith told police he thought the Jeep was abandoned and that he was going to find out who owned it before he cut the catalytic converter off. Smith was arrested and charged with attempted theft, criminal trespassing and possession of burglary tools. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root pulled a car over on North Laurel Road resulting in two drug arrests. The driver, 32-year-old Gentry Lee Jones of Lily, was found to be operating on a suspended license. During the roadside investigation Sheriff Root was joined by K-9 Deputy Jake Miller and Bailiff Paige Vanhook, who found Jones and passenger, 39-year-old Rachel Doan of London, in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Jones also had a syringe. Both were charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Jones was also charged with operating on suspended or revoked license and failure to wear seatbelts. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
