With three weeks left until the closing date for entries for the NutraIngredients-USA Awards 2021, we’re often asked about the judging process, so here’s what you need to know…
Obviously, the criteria are slightly different for each category, but overall we can break it down four ways:
1)       Can you show us that there is a genuine consumer demand?
2)       Do you have solid scientific evidence to demonstrate a unique nutritional solution to this need or problem?
3)       Can you also demonstrate commercial success and engagement from your core target market(s)?
4)       What gives your entry the ‘X factor’? What makes it stand out from the crowd? ....

Kenya has untapped mineral potential – report

Kenya’s mining sector can contribute up to 12 per cent of the gross domestic product if fully exploited.
This is according to a report by the Mineral Rights Board on how to attract mining investment that was launched this week.
The report identified major challenges that have seen local and foreign investors shying away from the sector.
“The sector is historically funded by development partners and private investors with the government playing a minimal role, hence reduced budgetary allocation and funding,” it said. ....
